It is October.

I went to see Wicked for the first time!! I love musicals and Wicked was the first musical I listened to and I finally got to watch it when it came to Dallas. It was so ah-mazing!! I can't wait for Hadestown to come in January!

It was Stephanie's birthday on the 3rd so we had a little celebration with some friends. I think I celebrated her birthday 3 separate times with different sets of people. What a blessing it has been to know her and be married to her the past few months. :-)

I finally had some people over at the apartment. We've been avoiding it because it's a bit messy and we still don't have a couch (as you can see, people are sitting on lawn chairs, an office chair, and some bar stools). But you know I had to have people come over to play Guitar Hero!

UTD's Friday Night Fellowship. Peter was preaching about terrorizing me as a child. Or at least that's what I remember from the sermon. What else is new? 💁

I made some pizza one night and one came out nice and round and the other came out... not as nice and round. Obviously, I gave the round one to Stephanie. 🤣 If you have any go-to recipes, please let me know! I'd love to try to make new things. :-)

Why are bananas curved in shape?

My mom celebrated her birthday this month and we all got on a video chat! (Peep the Zoom call in the corner.) My niece loves to clap with other people and so she was having a grand time. You'll have to go back (quite) a few blog posts to find when I first got my expander put in... who knew it would take this long for me to get my braces off?? Some friends told me that the braces were a part of my identity, so without them, what am I?! But seriously, eating is SO EASY again. Earlier this month, I got to go on a short trip to Boston with Steph and another couple. It was my first time (that I can remember) going to the East Coast. Being someone who grew up on the West Coast (and even now in Dallas), there has never been a rich history to the places I've been. But it was incredible getting to see the sights and walk The Freedom Trail. Going into Paul Revere's house definitely brought out the kid in me who loved him growing up, simply because we had the same name. Anyways, this ...

Happy Thanksgiving!! I hope y'all had a wonderful week and got to eat yummy food! :-) It's been a crazy month!! Our church had our annual fundraiser for the kids' ministry. We flew in Iain Provan for a weekend to speak at a joint-church service and Pizza Theology. I got to see a few movies—something that I've not done in a little while. Birthdays, parties, funerals, dinners. And today is Giving Tuesday! (And the month is still not done yet!) If you haven't heard, FOCUS has an annual fundraiser called Keep FOCUS Growing. A generous subset of our supporters has pledged to match over $55,000 in donations that come in during this fundraiser campaign which officially ends today! If you haven't yet, would you consider donating? To learn more and to donate, visit anyfocus.org/kfg ! We will also be posting updates on our Facebook page today. For a taste of what God is doing on our college campuses, read through this short testimony from Josh at UTA that was posted yest...

September 2024

It was my grandpa's 90th birthday and so we all surprised him by visiting Taiwan. The last time we all came back as a family to Taiwan was for his 70th birthday, 20 years ago. Here is a picture of all of us, including my cousins, and our significant others, and children (if applicable). I am so thankful for the opportunity to go back and spend time with my family! Here's the most readily available picture I could find of us, probably around 20 years ago, in my grandparent's house. The angle of the picture is close to the same, the flooring is the same. Not much has changed.
